Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. It’s best to set up an appointment with your preferred artist in advance. We are a custom, by-appointment shop and are rarely able to take walk-ins, however you can always check with the shop’s social media or call to see if any walk-ins are available.
Deposits are $100 for smaller pieces / $200 for larger and that amount goes towards the final cost of your tattoo. Deposits will be used on your last session and cannot be transferred to another person’s tattoo or be used with another artist. Deposits can be made in person using cash or credit cards (no checks).

Nope. Deposits are non-refundable, no exceptions. They are transferable up to 2 times if you need to reschedule, which you can do with at least 48 hours notice before your appointment.

Cancelling or rescheduling within 48 hours will result in a loss of your deposit and another must be made upon rescheduling.

First, take a look at our amazing artists’ portfolios. Look to see who’s style best reflects what you have in mind. All of our artists love to draw and are quite capable of handling almost any idea, big or small, but maybe there is someone in particular that stands out to you. Next, book an appointment through the website or send an email to the individual artist. Together, we’ll figure out who best suits your style and time frame and set you up with a consultation if needed, or an appointment to get tattooed. Consultations are completely free. In fact, the only thing you pay for is your tattoo.

Once you’ve set up an appointment and left a deposit, we’ll start drawing. Usually we will have them ready by the time of the tattoo appointment. Drawings are rarely if ever viewed prior to your appointment. This is a result from trying to juggle all of our clients simultaneously. But do not worry! There will be extra time booked to edit anything if needed the day of your appointment.

Size, location on the body, level of detail, and color all factor into the price. The shop minimum, which is $100 and goes up from there depending on how long it takes. We have a flat rate here at Lucky Rabbit Studios. We are $200/hr with a full day rate of $1200.

Bring your government or state-issued photo ID. You MUST be at least 18 years of age. Drivers licenses, Military IDs and passports work…school IDs and birth certificates don’t. Make sure you’re feeling good and comfortable. Drink lots of water. Eat a meal beforehand and bring something to sip on; carbs, juices and soda are good since they keep your blood sugar up and prevent you from getting light headed. Also, if at all possible, try to get a good night’s sleep the night before. The better you feel going into your tattoo the easier the process and healing will go for you.
You may bring a friend or family member with you for support, but please note we only allow 1 person other than yourself with you in the room while you are being tattooed. This is to minimize distraction for the artist. Please be considerate of others and your surroundings. Being as the shop has an open floor plan if your tattoo is located in a more sensitive area, privacy screens are readily available.

Entirely up to you. Tipping is never expected and always appreciated. If you feel the artist did an awesome job, spent a lot of time working out your ideas, went above and beyond your expectations, or you simply had a good time then by all means tip!
